I’m all set up.

Breakfast this morning was coffee and Gatorade. Lunch was chicken broth and a couple of yellow gummy bears. I only began to feel hungry around 2:30 pm. It’s now 3:00, and I feel a slight hunger pang, but it’s not uncomfortable. Anxiety keeps hunger at bay. Even if I could eat something solid, I wouldn’t take more than a couple bites most likely.

At 4:00 I realized the ginger beer has sediment in it, so I texted my husband to ask him to pick up ginger ale on his way home. I purchased ginger beer because Target didn’t have ginger ale. I haven’t had a soda in many years. In fact, the only time I drink soda is if I’m nauseous. I’m assuming our grocery store carries ginger ale. I could probably strain it. I mostly have it as a comfort item. I often make my own ginger tea, and just a sip or two is all I need to settle my stomach.
